Disco stars snack in Norwalk; Paul McCartney enjoys pizza in New Haven

Martha Wash, Linda Clifford and Norma Jean Wright – performed in front of a packed house at The Wall Street Theater in Norwalk on Feb. 11. Before and after the show, the performers were treated to cupcakes and cookies from Sky Mercede of Forever Sweet Bakery in Norwalk.

Scene… Sir Paul McCartney made a surprise visit to Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana in New Haven last week after his appearance at the Yale Schwarzman Center. McCartney – who holds an honorary degree from Yale University – about his new book, “The Lyrics: 1956 to the Present.” The conversati­on included Pulitzer Prize-winning poet Paul Muldoon, who edited McCartney’s book, and was moderated by Yale

English professor Langdon Hammer.

Out there… Emmy Award-winning comedian and former host of Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show,” Trevor Noah will take the stage at The Palace Theatre in Stamford for the nonprofit’s 11th Annual Gala and fundraiser honoring Sen. Out there… A-list actors and Bedford, N.Y. residents Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively gave birth to their fourth child earlier this month but have not revealed its gender. Along with their new addition, the Hollywood couple have two girls and a boy.

Out there… Christ Church Greenwich will feature an organ recital by renowned BritishAme­rican organist and choral director Jonathan Vaughn on March 4 at 4 p.m. Vaughn, who will perform on the new Harrison & Harrison organ, serves as the associate director of music at Christ Church and has also held positions in the United States and the United Kingdom, including at St John’s College in Cambridge and St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle.
