Matilda (Tillie) Dianis Moore, 99, of Greenwich, CT, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2023. Born and raised in Greenwich, Tillie graduated from Greenwich High School and continued her education at the Shorts Secretaria­l School. Employed by the Town of Greenwich for 34 years, Tillie was an executive secretary to the Commission­er of Public Works. Tillie spent her free time on the tennis courts well into her retirement, as well as playing bridge with friends. Tillie was vibrant part of the Greenwich community as a member of the National Society and the Mary Martha Guild, the Byram Garden Club, the Glenville Seniors and the AARP of Greenwich. Additional­ly, Tillie was a parishione­r at St. Paul's Evangelica­l Lutheran Church in Byram, and a lifelong member of the choir, singing at services weekly for over 70 years. Her love for singing continued until just weeks before her death, where she could be heard serenading herself and others with songs at her most recent home at Brighton Gardens in Stamford.

Tillie is survived by her nephews, Rudy Hroziencik,

William Hroziencik and Thomas Dianis, as well as by many grand and greatgrand­nieces and nephews. She lovingly held the title of “favorite aunt” for three generation­s and will be missed by those who loved and knew her.

She was predecease­d by her husband, William E. Moore, her parents Joseph and Susan Dianis, her sister Mildred Hroziencik, her brother Walter Dianis, her nephew Charles Dianis and her niece Diane Peck.

Friends may call at the Castiglion­e Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 27th, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. The funeral service will follow. Burial will be private.
