Parion “Perry” Greene

-

Parion “Perry” Greene, longtime resident of Greenwich, passed away on January 2nd, 2024. He was 82.

Born in Linville, North Carolina, on October 6, 1941, he was the son of Oscar Greene and Dora Taylor Greene. He was self-employed and worked as an arborist. He was a member of the United States Army and was honorably discharged. He was a member of many local establishments, enjoyed fishing, hunting, and golfing, watching sports, especially baseball and golf, Clint Eastwood movies, being on his boat and many more things.

He will be remembered fondly by many. As a man with a powerful presence, you would not find another with a bigger heart. Deeply loyal to his friends and family for anything they would ever want or need and always eager to lend a hand. Quick with his southern sayings and jokes, some of them from the last century, he never failed to make someone laugh. He had a lot love to give and received just as much.

He is survived by his daughter, Danielle Budding, and his grandsons, lan Budding, Matthew Greene, and Spencer Greene. He was predeceased by his wife, Patricia Olsen, Greene, his son,

William Greene, his granddaughter, Lauren Greene, and his son-in-law, Arnold Budding.

Friends are invited to calling hours on January 9th, 4-8 p.m., at Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home, 31 Arch St., Greenwich, CT, 06830. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a memorial donation to Greenwich Hospital Volunteer Services at 5 Perryridge Rd., Greenwich, CT, 06830.

The family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses, and staff at Greenwich Hospital for taking such good care of Perry.

The family would also like to thank Matthew for taking such good care of his Papa for the last 2 and a half years.
