Scene…Dick Morris ,a veteran political consultant who advised Bill Clinton for years, was seen having dinner with Cos Cob resident Gary Cella of Call Gold Coast Security at The Milbrook Club in Greenwich last month. Morris is the author of multiple books, including “The Return: Trump’s Big 2024 Comeback.”

Out there…The Greenwich Historical Society will feature an illustrate­d lecture with renown curator Mel Buchanan, RosaMary Curator of Decorative Arts and Design at the New Orleans Museum of Art on Thursday, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. The lecture will detail the career of ceramic artist and educator Katherine Choy, cofounder of Clay Art Center in Port Chester, N.Y., highlighti­ng her years spent in New Orleans leading ceramics at Newcomb College and connecting with the city’s artistic vanguard. Choy’s life and the legacy are the topic of the exhibition “Radical Pots & Cooperativ­e Hands: Katherine Choy and Clay Art Center,” on view at the Greenwich Historical Society through Feb. 4. there…Westport Country Playhouse is presenting “Voices for Volunteers of Fairfield County — An Appreciati­on Performanc­e” celebratin­g community volunteers with a concert by musical theater talents. The event, which takes place at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 24, is led by master of ceremonies and Stamford resident and comedian Chris O’Neil. Weston resident Ben Frimmer is the producer and director for the event, and a member of the Playhouse board of trustees. Headlining “Voices for Volunteers” is Tony Award-winning actress Cady Huffman, along with Westport native and Broadway actor Adam Kaplan. Other Westport talents are Mia Gentile, Jacob Heimer and Remy Laifer. Fairfield natives Natalie Steele, Jeff Gurner and Nili Bassman will perform as well.

Also on the bill are Norwalk’s multi-awardwinni­ng composer David Friedman, who has written songs for Disney, Diana Ross and more, and Ridgefield resident Juliet Lambert Pratt. Ari Axelrod, cabaret star, will return to the Playhouse after appearing at the theater last May in a nearly soldout performanc­e of “A

Place for Us: A Celebratio­n of Jewish Broadway.”

Out there… Play With Your Food 2024 takes place at Greenwich Arts

Council Recital Hall on Thursday 18 from 12:30 to 1 p.m. The lunchtime show series features a boxed lunch from local restaurant­s, witty plays read by profession­al actors, followed by discussion­s with the cast and artistic director. There will also be performanc­es Tuesday at MOCA Westport and Wednesday at Pequot Library Southport. Tickets are $65 each or $240 for a four-month subscripti­on.
