Greenwich Republicans must be vigilant

As the chair of Greenwich Republicans, I write to express concerns raised by longstanding members of our Republican Party regarding a newly formed political action committee (PAC) in our town, named “Committee for United RTC.” The creation of this independent PAC, claiming “unity” contradicts their very name and should be a matter of grave concern for all Greenwich Republicans. This unknown group has self-proclaimed itself as conservative Republicans, going so far as to coopt the Greenwich Republicans’ logo. This raises concerns about potential confusion among Republicans, voters and misrepresentation of party affiliations.

This situation echoes a past incident involving a PAC by Emily Goodman and Jenna Lowe, currently under investigation by the State Elections Enforcement Commission, SEEC, who posed as bipartisan experts for the Representative Town Meeting which silenced the conservative voice on the RTM. Republicans please beware of this Democrat playbook. Such instances emphasize the importance of due diligence for voters and donors when contributing to political causes.

Created days before Republican

Primaries, this “unity” PAC’s zero track record and anonymity provoke questions about legitimacy and true intentions. Notably they have urged individuals to switch their party registration to Republican for the upcoming primaries, a questionable approach.

Moreover, the unauthorized use of the current Greenwich Republican Party logo, established over the past two years, adds more concerns of deception. The motives behind such actions warrant scrutiny from Republicans and our community.
