QU knocks off Iona

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. — Alexis Reyes scored 13 points as Quinnipiac beat Iona 82-64 on Friday night.

Reyes also added eight rebounds and five assists for the Bobcats (20-8, 12-5 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference). Matt Balanc scored 11 points while shooting 5 for 12, including 1 for 3 from beyond the arc. Rihards Vavers shot 4 for 10, including 1 for 5 from beyond the arc to finish with 11 points.

The Gaels (13-15, 8-9) were led in scoring by Joel Brown, who finished with 17 points. Iona also got 14 points and two blocks from Idan Tretout. Jeremiah Quigley also had 10 points, four assists and two steals.

Marist 58, Fairfield 55:

At Poughkeeps­ie, N.Y., Josh Pascarelli's 13 points helped Marist defeat Fairfield on Friday.

Pascarelli shot 5 for 10, including 3 for 7 from beyond the arc for the Red Foxes (16-10, 11-6 MAAC). Max Allen scored 12 points while going 5 of 10 from the field, and added five rebounds. Jaden

The Stags (18-11, 12-6) were led by Caleb Fields, who posted 15 points, 10 rebounds and four assists. Fairfield also got 13 points, six rebounds and three steals from Jalen Leach. Brycen Goodine also had 10 points.

Yale 80, Dartmouth 56:

At New Haven, John Poulakidas' 16 points helped Yale defeat Dartmouth on Friday.

Poulakidas added five rebounds for the Bulldogs (19-8, 10-2 Ivy League). Matt Knowling scored 13 points while going 5 of 6 and 3 of 5 from the free throw line, and added five assists. Nick Townsend went 5 of 5 from the field to finish with 11 points.

Jaren Johnson led the Big Green (5-20, 1-11) in scoring, finishing with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Brandon Mitchell-Day added 10 points and five assists for Dartmouth. Dusan Neskovic also had nine points. The loss is the eighth in a row for the Big Green.
