Officers arrested a man on charges of violating an order of protection — and allegedly running away from police — around 10:30 p.m. Thursday, police said.

Brandon Jones, 32, of Pine Hill Avenue, Stamford, was charged with violation of a protective order, criminal trespass and resiting arrest. According to the arrest report, he went to a residence in central Greenwich where he had been told to stay away. Bail was set at $10,000.

A motorist driving without headlights at 2 a.m. Wednesday on Maple Street in central Greenwich was pulled over, and the driver arrested for drunken driving, according to police.

Donyae Brown, 27, of Taylor Street, Stamford, was also charged with operating without a license, police said. He was also cited for driving without headlights.

Bail was set at $250.

Officers responded to the Old Greenwich train station Wednesday evening on a report of a stolen Vespa motor-scooter, police said.

Officers later found the Vespa a few hundred yards away, with its ignition box damaged, police said. Authoritie­s surmised that a thief ad rolled the vehicle away from the train station and unsuccessf­ully tried to start it up, police said.

The Apple store reported a theft on Wednesday afternoon, police said. An employee noticed that at an Apple watch, a display model of the Series 3, had vanished from its case. The watches sell in the range of $300 to $400.
