The Arts and the Spirit Committee of Christ Church Greenwich is hosting “Follow the Star: Nativities of the World,” now through Sunday. The exhibit will feature 100 unique universal crèche scenes created by master craftsmen and artisans from around the world. For more info and tickets, go to christchurchgreenwich.org/followthe-star.
The Woman’s Club of Greenwich will hold its biggest fundraising event of the year, its Holiday Boutique, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. Get your holiday shopping done early at the event at 89 Maple Ave. in Greenwich. Admission is free with two floors of vendors, homebaked goods for sale and great raffle prizes. All proceeds from the event go to philanthropies in Greenwich supported by the club.
Evelina Puzaite of Greenwich will perform in a piano recital at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Greenwich Arts Council, 299 Greenwich Ave. The Lithuanian concert pianist play solo piano works by Rachmaninoff, Chopin and her favorite Baltic composers. She is a multi-international prize-winning pianist. In 2006, she unanimously won the Abstract Securities Landor Competition and was awarded a long-term recording contract with Landor Records. A Farmers Market is held from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Saturday in the Horseneck commuter parking lot at Arch Street off Exit 3 of Interstate 95. All produce and products sold at the market are grown and prepared by the farmers themselves — or fished locally.
The Off Sounders, Greenwich’s premier men’s a cappella singing group, will host the “Good Old A Capella” concert at 8 p.m. Saturday at the Riverside Yacht Club. It will feature two singing groups from Hamilton College: The Buffers, a men’s group that originated in 1950; and Tumbling After, a female group that dates back nearly 25 years. Tickets are $25 and are available in advance from any member of the Off Sounders, or at the door (subject to availability). The public is invited to gather with VFW Post 10112 at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at its memorial on Strickland Road for a Veterans Day ceremony. The memorial is adjacent to the docks and is across from the Greenwich Historical Society.
