Kasser stands up for safety, education
Alex Kasser represents the needs, interests, and values of all of her constituents. She has championed public education, gun safety laws, and the urgent need to address climate change.
That is why we students of the 36th district of Connecticut are writing to support Alex Kasser for state senate.
Senator Kasser has been a tireless advocate for public education in Hartford. Senator Kasser has worked hard throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, pushing for more testing locations and protective equipment for students and teachers in public schools so that everyone can continue learning safely. Senator Kasser is also an empathetic and understanding representative, which is why she sponsored a bill to add mental health services and support for students and teachers in public schools.
Alex has taken action to ensure that deadly weapons do not end up in the hands of dangerous actors. As current students, we all remember learning about the events at Sandy Hook in 2012 when we were in elementary school ourselves. We need a state senator who prioritizes common sense gun control legislation so that future students never have to feel the way that we felt in 2012. Senator Kasser must be re-elected so that we continue to feel safe in our schools and in our communities.
There is no issue our generation cares about more than climate change. Sen. Alex Kasser is an environmental policy expert. We need more advocates such as Alex working to build a world more resilient and responsive to our changing climate. Her reelection is vital so that Connecticut can continue to fight for our planet through innovative clean energy and responsible sustainability practices.
As students, we are looking forward to all we can accomplish in the future. Sen. Alex Kasser has the courage to stand up for our safety and education to help fight for a better future for our generation.
