Realtor and Author Linda Michonski knows how to get top dollar for luxury homes

-

Linda Michonski began her three-decade career in real estate in Boston’s Beacon Hill. She and her husband, David Michonski, founded their own real estate brokerage in 1979, and steadily grew their business. They frequently worked with clients buying and selling in the luxury-market category and price point. It informed their 2012 co-authored book, “Getting the Highest Price: Power Marketing for Luxury Homeowners.”

Luxury real estate is a topic she knows well, and she puts her experience to use here in Greenwich and across Fairfield County. She’s affiliated with the Greenwich brokerage of Douglas Elliman Real Estate, with an office on Arch Street.

The Michonskis’ book helps luxury homeowners better position their properties in the market. She also covers how to price a home; how to choose a brokerage and Realtor; and why luxury markets are distinctive and present their own opportunities and challenges. Many of the anecdotes she shares in the book are based on real-world examples.

In 2020, Michonski was recognized with two “Ellies,” awarded by the Douglas Elliman Real Estate for outstanding performance. She was among the top three agents for the firm’s Connecticut office. In July this year, she was among the brokerage’s top-producing agents again. She’s currently the listing agent for 60 Binney Lane, Old Greenwich, a four-bedroom shore colonial with an asking price of $3.4 million.

Michonski and her husband live in Stamford. She’s been the head of ushers for Christ Church for the past 10 years. She is also an advocate for pets, especially dogs of any breed.
