Bob was a major asset to the Greenwich community in many ways, as even after his retirement, his connection to Greenwich High School continued by taking the role of a substitute teacher for many years. His career in both the school system and the fire department highlighted his passion for working with young people and sharing his knowledge and experience with them as well as helping those around him. Bob would go out of his way at the drop of a hat to help anyone in need. He was the kind of person who loved to be around people, telling stories and making them laugh, infecting them with his positive energy and making them feel cared for. His commitment, honesty, dedication, and cheerful disposition, was evident in everything he did and he will be missed by the many people lucky enough to have come across him in their lives.

A Memorial celebration of his life and service to the community will be held on Wed., June 8, 2022 at the Byram Veterans Association located at 300 Delevan Ave., Greenwich, CT from 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Greenwich Education Assoc.
