Nicholas A. LeRose, 92, of Cos Cob, passed away on May 12, 2022. Nicholas, or “Nick,” was born in Greenwich on February 10, 1930 to Immacolata and Dominick LeRose, and grew up in Cos Cob alongside his beloved brother, James. Nick was a member of St. Catherine's Church and graduated from Greenwich High School, where he met and married the love of his life, Catherine (predeceased), of Greenwich. Nick spent the majority of his career at the New York Graphic Society, and together with Catherine, raised four children: Mary Rabuazzo, of Cos Cob, Phyllis Newhall, of Tampa, Nicholas LeRose, of Los Angeles, and Cathy LeRose, of Norwalk. Two great sonin-laws filled out the roster: Peter Rabuazzo and Brian Newhall.

Over the years they were blessed with grandchildren: Debi (Chris), Kevin (Lauren), Tommy (Felicia), Brian, Devon (Runyon), and Patrick. Great-grandchildren include: Gabriel, Nolan, Rose, and Kennedy. Nephews and nieces shared an equal place in Nick's heart, among them James (Mary Alice), Chris (Cecilia), Bobby (Kelly), Billy, Peter ( Joan), Shelley (Tom); and their beautiful and talented children.

His brother, Jim, and Jim's wife, Deanna, were central to Nick's life; as were his sister-in-law and brotherin-law, Marion and George (“Pete”) Low. All predeceased and forever missed.

With so many birthdays and anniversaries it's easy to lose track, but Nick never missed a single one by way of a card or call. Family was everything to him. And all were welcomed to his house on Orchard Street. When anyone visited, they were quickly met with, “what can I get you?” You gotta love a guy like that. And we did.

Nick loved sports; was always there to watch his kids and grandkids and nieces and nephews compete. But golf was his true passion. A great player while young, he had the championships and hardware to prove it. He remained active throughout his life, known to always offer a smile and a wave as he walked the streets of Cos Cob, “What can I get you?” Nothing more. Job and life well done.

To honor his life, a visitation will be held Tuesday 8:30am - 9:30am at Coxe & Graziano Funeral Home 134 Hamilton Ave, Greenwich. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am, Tuesday at St. Catherine of Siena R.C. Church, followed by interment at St. Mary's Cemetery.
