GAMES TO WATCH Bacon Academy at New London, Thursday, 6 p.m.:

This one lost a little luster with both teams falling out of the Top 10, but it remains the most anticipated game in the ECC this season.

No. 9 Pomperaug at Newtown, Thursday, 7 p.m.: A win keeps both alive for the top spot in the SWC. Newtown has won 12-straight entering the week and Pomperaug has won 11-of-12.

Torrington at St. Paul, Thursday, 7 p.m.: Coming off a win over Holy Cross, St. Paul needs to refocus on 12-2 Torrington, which is looking to secure the No. 2 spot in the NVL Tournament.

Valley Regional at East Hampton, Friday, 5:30 p.m.:

Valley’s only Shoreline loss came to East Hampton in December. First place in the conference on the line.

No. 1 Hamden at No. 7 Hand, Friday, 7 p.m.: Round 1 was a 51-48 win for Hamden. The Tigers would love to flip that and deliver the Dragons their first loss.

Trumbull at Warde, Friday, 7 p.m.: The winner keeps hope alive of being the No. 2 seed in the FCIAC Tournament and potentially avoiding Ludlowe until the final.

No. 6 Immaculate at Newtown, Saturday, 4:30 p.m.: Immaculate will all but lock up the top spot in the SWC with a win, but few teams are as hot as Newtown right now.
