Najimi George, Kolbe Cathedral: Scored 27 points and added 13 rebounds and five assists in the Cougars’ 83-48 win at Brookfield.

Cam Perez, Immaculate: Made six 3-pointers en route to 26 points in the Mustangs’ 65-36 win over Masuk.

Jayson Penney, Coginchaug and Aaron Tolve, Old Saybrook: Made the go-ahead lay up with 1.4 seconds left to help Coginchaug defeat Old Saybrook 65-64. Penney finished with a triple-double (21 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds) for the Blue Devils. Aaron Tolve scored a game-high 26 points for Old Saybrook.

Carmelo Ayala, Notre Dame-Fairfield: Scored 19 points in 20 minutes of action, and added nine assists, in the Lancers’ 67-30 win over Bethel.

Joel Nash, Greens Farms: Scored 28 points in a loss to King.

Sonny Pierce, WCA: Scored 29 points in WCA’s 93-92 overtime victory against Crosby.

Derone Fordham, Holy Cross: Scored a career-high 31 points in the Crusaders’ 99-76 win over WCA.

Mekhi Conner, Notre Dame-West Haven: Came through with a pair of triple-doubles this week against Hillhouse (19 points, 10 rebounds, 11 assists) and at Fairfield Prep (13 points, 13 assists and 10 rebounds), both convincing wins for the Green Knights.

Mekhi McNeil, O’Brien Tech: Fell one assist shy of a triple-double (40 points, 17 rebounds and nine steals) in the Condors’ 55-39 win over Wright Tech.

Jamie Leggett, St. Paul: Finished with 37 points and 20 rebounds in St. Paul’s 80-48 win over Derby.

Joe Vasquez, Plainville: Scored 29 points in Plainville’s 66-55 win over Oxford.

Caden Drezek, Seymour: Drezek had a double-double (30 points, 15 rebounds) along with five steals in the Wildcats’ 80-48 victory over Derby.

Anthony Parker, Xavier: Had 28 points, nine assists and six steals in the Falcons’ 82-65 victory over Wilbur Cross. Parker scored 30 points in Xavier’s 87-40 win over Career. River Eberhardt, Berlin:

Buzzer-beating putback helped Berlin defeat Bristol Central 57-56. Brandon Naccarato, Westbrook:

Scored 30 points in a 84-52 loss to Portland.

Freddie Camp, Northweste­rn: Scored 28 points in a 69-57 win over Gilbert. Thomas McKiernan, Wilton: Made seven 3-pointers en route to 34 points in Wilton’s 69-55 loss to

Ridgefield.

Trey Lindsey, Windham Tech, and Jordan Iverson, Prince Tech:

Lindsey had 27 points and 28 rebounds in the 72-61 win for Windham Tech. Iverson scored 28 points for Prince Tech.

Randy Alston-Brown, West Haven: Scored 45 points in the Westies’ 97-48 win over Lyman Hall.

Wyatt Femia, Wamogo: His buzzer beater lifted Wamogo over Shepaug Valley 60-58 in overtime.

OF NOTE

• Windham Tech snapped a 32-game losing streak to Prince Tech, defeating the Falcons 72-61 last Friday. The streak dated back to 1990.

• Lyman Memorial’s Jaiden Lopez surpassed 1,000 career points in a 51-48 loss to Bacon Academy.

• Travis Mangual from Windham also surpassed 1,000 career points in a 69-54 victory over Waterford.

GAMES TO WATCH East Catholic at Northwest Catholic, Tuesday, 6:45 p.m.:

It doesn’t get any bigger between these long-standing rivals, first in the old Northwest Conference, now in the CCC. Both teams come in undefeated against state competitio­n as the top two ranked teams in the state.

Windsor at Northwest Catholic, Friday, 6:45 p.m.:

Big week in the CCC. Will impact the league tournament standings. Last season, Northwest Catholic won at the buzzer at Windsor on a shot by Badare Diakite.

Windsor vs. St. Bernard at Fitch, Monday, 2 p.m.:

St. Bernard lost its first game in the 2023 calendar year at Malden Catholic (Mass.) last Saturday. Windsor has struggled in February without injured point guard Quintin Floyd.
