Organ recitals
The First Congregational Church of Greenwich will present a series of organ recitals during March to mark the liturgical season of Lent. Minister of Music Dr. Craig Scott Symons says the series returns this year after an abbreviated season in 2020.
Beginning on Wednesday, March 1, from 12:15-12:45, Symons will open the series in the splendor of the historic Meetinghouse (sanctuary), and the program will focus on music by female composers. The remaining concerts will be: March 8, 15, 22 and 29.

Fishery discussed at Floren Center
The Floren Family Environmental Center at Innis Arden Cottage in Greenwich Point Park will host the talk “What Happens When a Fishery Dies: The Demise of the Lobster Fishery in Long Island Sound” from 2 to 3 p.m. March 5.
Dr. Tarsila Seara, Associate Professor in the Biology and Environmental Science Department of the University of New Haven, will discuss the results of her study, conducting interviews with fishermen and others involved in the lobster fishery in the Long Island Sound following the major die-off event in 1999. This event decimated the lobster population and heavily impacted those who depended on this fishery for their livelihoods.

Fall prevention webinar
Greenwich Hospital registered nurse Angela Perrotta and Veronica Bilenkin, consumer health librarian, will discuss “Preventing Falls: Reducing Your Risk” from 11 a.m. to noon Feb. 28 via Zoom. Orienta hosts author talk
Award-winning TV producer and best-selling author Max Tucci, will host a book signing and author talk event at Orienta restaurant, 55 Lewis St. from 11:45 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Feb. 21.
Tucci's new book, “The Delmonico Way: Sublime Entertaining & Legendary Recipes from the Restaurant that Made New York!”, is a best seller.
Tucci's author talk is scheduled for 1 p.m., when he will discuss his new book with motivational speaker, women's executive empowerment coach, and author Christine Mulhearne. Winter hike at Mianus River Park
From 1 to 2:30 p.m. Feb. 21, join the Friends of Mianus River Park and the Greenwich Land Trust for a hike at Mianus River Park. The hike will be at medium intensity. Bring a water bottle and dress appropriately.

Retired Men’s Association welcomes speaker
Retired Men's Association, will host a speaker 11 a.m. Feb. 22 at the First Presbyterian Church, 37 Lafayette Place. The program will also be shown on Webinar: https://bit.ly/30IBj21.
John P. Reese will deliver the talk “Learning from Luminary Investors: The Wisdom of Warren Buffet, Ben Graham and Peter Lynch.”
Reese is co-found and CEO of Validea Capital Management, a wealth management firm. He is a graduate of both MIT and Harvard Business School, coauthor of two books, “The Market Gurus” and “The Guru Investor,” and a sought-after speaker.
Debut author to speak
Local writer Daisy Alpert Florin will discuss her debut novel, “My Last Innocent Year,” with author Samantha Greene Woodruff on at 7p.m. Feb. 22 at Greenwich Library's Marx Family Black Box Theater.

Bush Holley House Tours
The Greenwich Historical Society offers guided tours of the Bush-Holley House at noon, 1:30 and 3:30 p.m. Wednesdays through Sundays. Visitors can learn about the Holley family who lived there in the era of the Cos Cob Art Colony as well as the Bush family, who resided there in the era of the New Nation. Visit the Bruce
The Bruce Museum at 1 Museum Drive is open to visitors while construction continues on its expansion project. A permanent exhibit is open on “Natural Cycles Shape Our Land,” which takes visitors on a journey through cycles that unfold over millions of years at global scales and ends with small cycles that unfold at minuscule scales in our backyards. Safe Roads Sundays
The Friends of Greenwich Point is sponsoring Safe Roads Sundays from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. through April 9. Traffic is restricted at the park so visitors can enjoy a safe and picturesque route to walk and ride your bikes. Bruce Beginnings
The Bruce Museum's Bruce Beginnings program for children is held from 10 to 10:45 a.m. and 11 to 11:45 a.m. on Tuesdays.
