Former ‘Real Housewives’ star Bethenny Frankel visits Stamford’s Elm Street Diner

Former “Real Housewives of New York City” star and entrepreneur Bethenny Frankel recently stopped into Elm Street Diner in Stamford.

Frankel and her daughter, Bryn, visited the eatery known for its over-the-top decadent plates and milkshakes and shared their experience in a TikTok video. “This was the opposite of a nightmare on Elm Street...this was a diner DREAM!” Frankel wrote in the video’s caption.

Frankel and her daughter sampled Elm Street’s “cheesy vodka garlic bread” served with vodka sauce, and exclaimed over one of its “cake shakes,” a towering milkshake adorned with cupcakes, whipped cream, frosting, candy, miniature pancakes and a sparkler.

“This is such stunning artwork,” Frankel said in the video, raving about the red velvet cake that made up part of the shake’s decorative toppings.

“This feels like a small business where people really care,” she said. “This place is excellent. This food is really good...they have scallops here, and penne vodka, and it’s really good.”

Toward the end of the video, Frankel broke into song, singing along with Tiësto’s “The Business,” which was playing in the background.

“This food is so amazing that I may cry right here...this food is, this food is amazing,” she crooned.

Elm Street Diner owner John Moshos said Friday that Frankel and her daughter stopped in randomly, calling her visit “so great, lots of fun.”

“She told us several times how much she loved everything,” he said.

Frankel, a natural foods chef, appeared on “The Apprentice: Martha Stewart” before rising to fame as a member of the “Real Housewives” cast starting in 2008. During her “Housewives” tenure, she launched the Skinnygirl lifestyle brand, which started as a low-calorie pre-mixed margarita and expanded to additional food and beverage items, as well as apparel. She is also the founder of BStrong, a disaster relief organization that provides emergency assistance to people in crisis.

Frankel, who bought a home in Greenwich and sold it in 2021 after making renovations, moved out of her Manhattan loft in SoHo about a year ago, according to Bravo’s website. At the time, her representative Jill Fritzo told the New York Post that Frankel’s residences would be “in the Hamptons and Connecticut.”
