Church hosts talk on civil disagreement
Christ Church Greenwich, 254 East Putnam Ave., will host “Live, Learn and Love: How to Disagree in a Polarized World” at 11:15 a.m. March 19 in the Parish Hall. The event will include coffee, breakfast and conversation.
Jewelle Bickel will speak about why disagreement is so difficult, how we can disagree well with one another, and how our faith can help. The talk is also available via livestream at https://events.locallive.tv/events/88346.
Bickel is a lecturer in Catholic Studies at Sacred Heart University and a graduate of Yale Divinity School and the University of Oklahoma.

Networking event at Cups N Cones
The Greenwich Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a networking event for members from 5:30 to 7 p.m. March 23 at Cups N Cones, 235 Sound Beach Ave., Old Greenwich. Preserve invites kids to explore
Converse Brook Preserve invites children in kindergarten to fifth grade to spend 9 a.m. to noon March 18 exploring the property. Children are invited to use all their senses to discover the signs of spring as guest create, sing, climb trees and play games.
Upon registration, an email will be sent with further information regarding the program. A minimum of five children are required to run the program. The
event takes place at the Greenwich Land Trust's Converse Brook Preserve, 20 – 50 Cherry Valley Road, Greenwich

Disney’s Moana, Jr. at middle school
The Western Middle School Theater Club presents Disney's “Moana, Jr.” with shows at 7 p.m. March 24 and 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. March 25. Tickets are available to the public beginning March 21, or at the door on performance dates. Evening performance tickets are $10, matinee tickets are $8.
Musicians from Marlboro return
The third and final performance of the season by the Musicians from Marlboro in the Friends Concert Series will take place from 7 to 8:30 p.m. April 11 in the Berkley Theater at the Greenwich Library, 101 West Putnam Ave.. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
April's concert features seven outstanding musicians performing both classical and contemporary works.
Musicians from Marlboro is the touring extension of the Marlboro Music Festival in Vermont. The group is known for supporting artists at the beginning of their careers and for offering a range of unusual as well as beloved symphonic music.

Arts society hosts talk on pigment
From 1 to 2 p.m. Monday, April 3, The Greenwich Decorative Arts Society presents “Forbes Pigment Collection at Harvard", a lecture by Alison Cariens, Conservation Coordinator, Harvard Art Museums.
The Forbes Pigment Collection began at the turn of the 20th century, and today contains more than 2,500 pigments. It is the world's largest collection of historical pigments.
The lecture will take place at Christ Church Parish Hall, 254 East Putnam Avenue, Greenwich. Guests are welcome. The guest fee is $25 payable by check in advance. Space is limited. Organ recitals
The First Congregational Church of Greenwich will present a series of organ recitals during March to mark the liturgical season of Lent. Minister of Music Dr. Craig Scott Symons says the series returns this year after an abbreviated season in 2020.
Concerts will take place from 12:15 to 12:45 p.m. on March 22 and 29.

Jazz festival
The Greenwich High School music department is hosting the 36th annual GHS Jazz Festival on Saturday, March 25 at the Performing Arts Center from 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. featuring over a dozen jazz bands from GHS and all around the region. Tickets are sold at the door: $5 for students and seniors, $10 for general admission.
Bush Holley House Tours
The Greenwich Historical Society offers guided tours of the Bush-Holley House at noon, 1:30 and 3:30 p.m. Wednesdays through Sundays. Visitors can learn about the Holley family who lived there in the era of the Cos Cob Art Colony as well as the Bush family, who resided there in the era of the New Nation. Visit the Bruce
The Bruce Museum at 1 Museum Drive is open to visitors while construction continues on its expansion project. A permanent exhibit is open on “Natural Cycles Shape Our Land,” which takes visitors on a journey through cycles that unfold over millions of years at global scales and ends with small cycles that unfold at minuscule scales in our backyards. Safe Roads Sundays
The Friends of Greenwich Point is sponsoring Safe Roads Sundays from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. through April 9. Traffic is restricted at the park so visitors can enjoy a safe and picturesque route to walk and ride your bikes. Bruce Beginnings
The Bruce Museum's Bruce Beginnings program for children is held from 10 to 10:45 a.m. and 11 to 11:45 a.m. on Tuesdays. Children ages 2.5 to 5 and their caregivers explore the museum's collections and exhibitions through picture books and hands-on activities. Topics rotate between art and science. The Parish of St. Catherine of Siena and St. Agnes accepts food pantry donations for Neighbor to Neighbor from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesdays in its parking area at 4 Riverside Ave. Items needed include peanut butter and jelly, oatmeal, canned meat, tuna, canned fruit, dried or canned beans, cereal, rice and soup as well as household cleaners and toiletries. St. Paul's Episcopal Church at 200 Riverside Ave. accepts donations from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Thursdays.
Playing bridge
