CIAC GIRLS TENNIS PLAYERS TO WATCH IN 2024
Loden Bradstreet, Hand, Soph.:
Went 20-3 at No. 2 singles last year, helping the Tigers win the Class M championship.
Sneh Dagar, Shelton, Sr.:
Finished with 15-2 record during regular season. Advanced to the Round of 16 in the State Invitational.
Sarah Donnelly, Darien, Sr: Has compiled a 63-0 record at either No. 1 or 2 singles. Returning GameTimeCT First Team AllState pick advanced to the State Invitational semifinals for the second-consecutive season.
Peyton Gadreau, Branford, Jr: Went 17-2 at No. 1 singles to earn GameTimeCT all-state laurels. Advanced to the State Invitational singles quarterfinals twice and has compiled a 38-2 career record.
Sarah Hage, Waterford, Sr.: Won the ECC individual championship threestraight years for the Lancers. Advanced to the Round of 16 at the State Open Invitational.
Anya Kunar, Barlow, Sr.:
Won the SWC individual
singles championship to complete an undefeated season in league play last year. A GameTimeCT First Team all-state selection.
Alexandra Cheshire,
Orlins, Reigning CIAC State Invitational champion and GameTimeCT
Player of the Year. Two-time SCC Player of the Year has compiled a 44-1 record.
Piper Remillard,
Coginchaug, Sr.: Went 19-0 during the regular season and won the Shoreline Conference singles championship for the third-consecutive season.
Sarah Siolkowski, East Catholic, Soph.: Went 23-2 for the Eagles, advancing to the CIAC State Invitational quarterfinals. GameTimeCT First Team and All-CCC selection last season.
Elisa Tunaru, Fairfield Warde, So.: Returning All-FCIAC First Team selection hoping to lead Warde into FCIAC title contention. GameTimeCT Second Team AllState selection last year.
Vicki Weygang, Farmington, Jr.: A GameTimeCT First Team allstate pick last season, Weygang went 15-0 during the regular season and advanced to the State Invitational quarterfinals for the second consecutive season.
Soumya Wijesekera, Amity. Jr.: Went 21-1 at No. 2 singles for the Spartans, the three-time SCC tournament champions. Advanced to the second round of the State Open Invitational. Has an overall record of 47-1.
