NOTES: Accuracy is measured with three five-shot groups fired at 100 yards in wind varying between 7 and 15 mph. Velocity is measured as a three-shot average with a Competitive Edge Dynamics M2 chronograph.
The effects of wind and a heavy trigger were evident. Even so, this group, shot with Winchester’s 140-grain Match 6.5 Creedmoor load, hints at the rifle’s true accuracy potential.
Battling the effects of wind and a heavytrigger pull, the author still managed to make all five tested factory loads produce average groups under 1½ inches, with two loads producing subMOA best groups.
