GUYMON - On the north side of Guymon on Highway 64, you may have noticed the ongoing construction just next door to Anchor D Bank. This work-in-progress is the future site of a new annex facility next to the bank’s current Guymon location. Scott Watson, Anchor D Bank’s Chief Operations Officer, stated, “We anticipate to complete and open the ADB Annex in the first quarter of 2021, adding to the Anchor D Bank footprint in Texas County.” The bank currently operates three full-service locations in Texhoma, Goodwell and Guymon.

Watson shared that the new 10,000 square foot building will house the bank’s Deposit, Loan and Compliance Operations along with the Audit, Human Resources and Training Departments. Approximately

25 employees will transfer to the Annex upon completion, freeing up office space for Lenders, Financial Service Representatives, Home Loan Specialists and Tellers to better serve Anchor D Bank’s customers at all three existing customer service locations. “Another major goal is to create a place to provide strategic training as well as a meeting room that can be used by employ

ees, bank committees and our Board of Directors. This new building will allow the whole Anchor D Bank team to gather in one location,” stated Watson.

Lynne Langham, Anchor D Bank’s Human Resources and Development Director, expanded on this goal, saying, “This commitment of space and updated facilities will provide our employees the environment needed to enhance their customer service abilities.” She continued, “Web-based training is ok for a lot of the skills and regulatory training required in banking, but we desire to enhance that with a venue where employees receive hands-on training and are provided in-depth coaching. The level of service we provide has always been core to our culture, and this investment continues along those lines keeping customer service at the top of the agenda at Anchor D Bank.”

Floyd Kalm will lead the project as the general contractor alongside Terri Kalm, who plays an integral role in the process. The bank is pleased and excited to have the opportunity to work with Kalm, a local general contractor, as well as local subcontractors for this build.

Anchor D Bank is a $225 million locally owned community bank which has served the area for over 114 years.
