Peggy L. Culver, 79, lifelong area resident, passed away Tuesday evening, June 16, 2020 at the Memorial Hospital of Texas County.

The daughter of John Henry and Leora Opha (Horn) West, she was born Deceber 23, 1940 in Shannon, Texas. The family moved to the panhandle in the early 1940’s. Peggy attended school in Texhoma, graduating with the Class of 1958.

Peggy and Gene Culver were united in marriage on May 22, 1959 in Guymon. She was a homemaker and bookkeeper the majority of her working life. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Leora West; son, Kerry Glen Culver; sister, Jo Marie Buse and two brothers, Jerry and John Edward West.

Survivors include her husband, Gene Culver of the home; daughter, Kimberly Garrison and husband, Gary Robinson of Denton, Texas; son, Kendall Culver and wife, Debbie of Guymon; nine grandchild­ren: Kory, Kendra, Kara, Keegan, Krista, Kaleb, Kadee, Courtney and Kilian; 18 great grandchild­ren and one sister, Belinda Smith and husband, Brian of Lubbock, Texas.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted Friday morning, June 19th at 10:00 a.m. at the Elmhurst Cemetery in Guymon with Rev. Odie Nunley officiatin­g.

The Culver family will greet friends on Thursday evening, June 18th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Bunch Roberts Funeral Home. Memorials in Peggy’s name can be made to a favorite charity. Memorials will be accepted at the Bunch - Roberts Funeral Home, PO Box 1112, Guymon, OK 73942.
