• Retired Educators Meeting

The No Man’s Land Retired Educators Associatio­n (NMLREA) will meet October 7 at 11:30 a.m. in the Vallarta Mexican restaurant meeting room at 224 US 54 in Guymon. Dutch-treat lunch. Social distancing will be in place. Cosette Wymer, Northwest District Director of the Oklahoma Retired Educators Associatio­n (OREA), will provide updates on retirement funding and OREA initiative­s. •4-H Cloverbuds Welcome Party

October 14 at 5:30 p.m. at the Texas County OSU Extension Office, 301 North Main next to the Court House. Any Youth between the ages 5 and 8th grade and in Second Grade are welcome to attend. We will have fun activities, games and crafts. For more informatio­n contact Ashley Ming: 580-773-7300.

• Transfer Station winter hours change

The last Saturday for the transfer station to be open for the summer season will be October 3rd 2020. The hours for this Saturday will be from 8 to 4 pm. All residentia­l loads will be at no charge for this date. All commercial loads will be at the usual tonnage charge. Passenger tires will limited to free disposal with a limit of 4 tires per day. As usual all loads must be secured with ropes or a tarp. All loads will be scaled with the exception of yard waste. Normal weekday hours will remain 8am to 5pm. Saturday schedule hours will resume in the Spring and will be announced at a later date.

•Weekly group prayer at the Oakes of Mamre

Sundays at 7 p.m. The Oakes of Mamre parking lot. Everyone is invited to join in prayer and 20 minutes of praise.
