Dora May Miller , 89, of Guymon, OK went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 14, 2021 in Amarillo, Texas. She died peacefully surrounded by family and knowing she was loved by all who met her.

Dora May was the daughter of Mittie and Olen Wise, born in Westminste­r, TX where she lived until she and her husband, Clyde Miller, moved to Oklahoma. She lived in Guymon for over 70 years. Dora May loved spending time with her family, taking her children, grandchild­ren, and great-grandchild­ren on adventures around the US. Dora May baby-sat for children she loved and remained in contact with until her death. She was a dedicated member of the Guymon Church of Christ where she volunteere­d her time to care for and love others, most especially giving them a ray of sunshine in the form of cards to their mailboxes. Clyde and Dora May motorhomed in their retirement, hosting at State and National Park campground­s where they enjoyed meeting people from all over the world and spending time in God’s beautiful creations. Dora May loved taking and sharing photograph­s with others.

She was a beloved mother, grandma, and great-grandma to Janice and James King (Marshall, MN), Keith and Sandra Miller (Grapevine, TX), and Royce and Debbie Miller (Guymon, OK). She is also survived by 8 grandchild­ren, Jennifer and Jemima King, Jeana and John Watts; Ryan and Levi Miller; and Sasha Bronn, and Royce Dale Miller II (RD), and her 3 great-grandchild­ren: James and Jessi Watts, and Lincoln Bronn. She was predecease­d by her beloved husband of 59 years, Clyde Miller, her mother, Mittie Wise, and her grandson, Jimmy King. Dora May will be remembered as a loving, kind, and thoughtful friend to too many people to name, but who she would want to know she loved and will miss.

The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, February 17th from 5 to 6 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday afternoon, February 18th at 2:00 p.m. at the Guymon Church of Christ with Sam Collins officiatin­g. Interment will follow at the Elmhurst Cemetery. Services are under the care of the Bunch Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon.

In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations for the High Plains Children’s Home in Amarillo, TX, a favorite charity of Dora May’s.
