• Volleyball defeated Altus & Clinton in pool play of the Clinton Tournament and defeated Tipton and Clinton for 3rd place.

• Softball defeated Woodward 3-1, and Laverne 6-4 as the girls placed 3rd in the Woodard Tournament.

• Softball defeated Laverne 4-3 and the JV team defeated Laverne 10-6.

• The HS boys and JH boys xc teams won the Hooker Meet.

• JV Volleyball swept Yarbrough in three sets.

• JH softball defeated Thomas 6-0, & Alva 2-1.

• HS Softball placed 3rd in the Panhandle Shootout and had wins over Beaver and Hooker.

• HS Volleyball placed 3rd in the El Reno Tournament with wins over Seminole, and Chickasha.

• HS Varsity Softball defeated Lamar 8-0 on the road and Beaver 9-0.

• JH Softball defeated Hooker 14-4 & Laverne 4-2, and in the finals defeated Laverne 12-0 to win the Championsh­ip at the Hooker Tournament.

• HS Softball defeated Capitol Hill in two district games 17-0 & 18-0. The girls are now 2-0 in District play.

• JH Softball defeated Woodward 12-6.

• JH Volleyball swept Eisenhower in 7th and 8th A and B games.

• HS Softball defeated Bishop McGuinness 21-3 and 15-3 in district play.

• HS Softball defeated Western Heights 14-0 and 15-2 in district play.

• HS Softball defeated El Reno 3-2 & 4-3 in district play.

• HS XC Swept the Varsity Boys, JV Boys, and JH Boys divisions at the Perryton Wolf Creek Classic Meet this past Saturday. We had Two individual meet champions.

• JH Volleyball swept Clayton JH in 3 sets. 25-7, 25-3, 25-7

• JV Softball defeated Boise City 11-1, and 14-1.

• HS & JH XC boys won the Guymon Rattlesnak­e Run XC Meet. Mulubrehan Gebresilas­e was the individual meet champion.

• HS XC boys won the pre-state meet in Edmond, OK by 67 points over 18 other 5A schools. Mulubrehan Gebresilas­e was the individual meet champion.

• HS girls varsity softball defeated Hooker 10-2, and our JV defeated them 10-4.

• Football homecoming informatio­n

Homecoming for Guymon ISD will be Oct. 8th. The week will be filled with dress up days and school spirit flowing through the hall and community. The theme this year is ‘Once Upon a Homecoming (Disney)'.

The dress up days for the week are as follows:

• Moana Monday (Hawaiian)

• Monsters University Tuesday (Rep your favorite college)

• Toy Story Wednesday (Western or space)

• Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum Thursday (Twin Day)

• Tigger Friday (Rep your class colors or your class' parade theme)

The Homecoming Parade and bonfire will take place Thursday, Oct. 7 at 6 p.m.
