BBB warns of wedding photography scammer

Better Business Bureau® Serving Central Oklahoma is advising Oklahomans to be wary when hiring wedding photographers. In February of 2022, BBB investigated Lindsey Nichole Photography’s business practices. The investigation was prompted by complaints, customer reviews and scam tracker reports. Lindsey Nichole Photography has an F rating on BBB.org.

BBB discovered in its investigation that customers will hire Lindsey Nichole Photography to take photos at a wedding and/or event. The business will sometimes show up and take the photo and tell the customer they will receive photos within 8-10 weeks of the event. Then, the customers would not receive their photos or any kind of refund.

A BBB complaint filed against Lindsey Nichole Photography says, “I hired Lindsey for my wedding on December 18th, 2021. In the contract, it states I would have my photos by 8-10 weeks. It has now surpassed that deadline. I’ve tried contacting Lindsey Nichole multiple times and through various sources, such as phone, text, Instagram DM, and email with still no response.” The complaint remains unanswered from Lindsey Nichole Photography.

In a News 4 article, alleged victims of Lindsey Nichole Photography speak out against the photographer’s untrustworthy practices.

In the article, three brides claim Lindsey Nichole did not follow through with sending photos after hiring her to photograph their wedding ceremonies. The business’s Google page has been taken down, and according to News 4, a visit to Lindsey Nichole’s studio revealed the studio to be locked, with a small claims suit taped to the front door for unpaid rent.

As of May 12, 2022, BBB has exhausted all forms of contact to the business: phone calls, websites, emails, and fax numbers, and all postal mail communications are returned to sender. Customers with outstanding concerns are still encouraged to file a complaint for BBB records, but may also wish to contact legal counsel and/or the Office of the Oklahoma Attorney General. BBB cannot confirm the legitimacy of Lindsey Nichole Photography.
