Zella Faye Russell, 93, passed away January 15, 2023, at the Heritage Community Manor in Guymon.

The daughter of Deward Bates and Gladys (Hammock) Bates-Collins, Zella Faye was born March 18, 1929, in Catsby.

Zella and Cecil Russell were united in marriage on April 9, 1959 in Perryton, Texas. They made their home in Perryton and ran the Kitty K9 Kennel as well as H&R Block Tax Service and Russell Bookkeepin­g for over 35 years. He preceded her in death on May 29, 1982.

Zella moved to Guymon as her health declined to live with her daughter and son-in law. She loved her family, she loved working, and she loved to enjoy life.

In addition to her husband, Cecil, she was preceded in death by her parents and her step-father George Collins; her sister and brother-in-law, Marie and Louis Lanier; her step-daughter and sonin-law Star and Charles Latimer; her son and daughter -in-law, Harold Spady, Jr. and Mildred Spady; her son-inlaw David L. Tidwell; and her daughter-in-law Bobbie Russell.

She is survived by her daughter, Connie Tidwell of Guymon; her step-son, Rick Russell of Amarillo, Texas; her grandchild­ren: Russ and Debbie Tidwell of Garden City, Kan., Brian Tidwell of Radcliff,

Ky., Chad and Jennifer Russell of Dallas, Texas, Bradey and Tina Russell of Amarillo, Texas, Ryan Latimer of Nashville, Tenn., and Stormie and Lawrence Hill of Gatlinberg, Tenn; nieces, Paula and Bob Hanger of Yukon, and Sondra Lanier of Fort Worth, Texas. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchild­ren and numerous great nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at the Ochiltree County Cemetery south of Perryton with her grandson, Russ Tidwell officiatin­g.
