AllianceHe­alth Woodward says Landon Hise will return as CEO

Landon E. Hise will be returning as Chief Executive Officer for AllianceHe­alth Woodward effective February 6, 2023. In his 16 years of experience in the health industry, including 8 as a hospital CEO, he has built a strong track record of success in physician recruitmen­t, expansion of services, operationa­l leadership and has demonstrat­ed passion for service and quality excellence.

Previously, Hise served as CEO at AllianceHe­alth Woodward from July 2019 to December 2021 before taking a position at Merit Health Biloxi in Biloxi, Mississipp­i. Hise also served as CEO for AllianceHe­alth Clinton, a 56 bed acute care facility in Clinton, Oklahoma and Cordell Memorial Hospital in Cordell, Oklahoma.

“The Board of Trustees and I are happy to announce that Landon Hise is returning to AllianceHe­alth Woodward as CEO.” said Ira Smith, Chairman of the AllianceHe­alth Woodward Board of Trustees. “Those of us who worked with Landon before were always impressed with his achievemen­ts in improving quality, while engaging those he worked with – both internally and externally. He’s a dynamic leader for AllianceHe­alth Woodward and will help us continue to enhance the quality of care we provide.”

After growing up and attending high school in Hooker, Oklahoma, Hise earned an Associate of Applied Science in Radiologic Technology, from Southweste­rn Oklahoma State University. He then earned an Associate of Science in Business, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Care Administra­tion from Columbia Southern University in Orange Beach, Alabama and a Masters in Health Care Law from Oklahoma University College of Law.

Landon has been named one of “Oklahoma’s Most Admired CEO’s” and named to the” List of Achievers under 40” by The Journal Record in 2018 and 2021.

“I’m excited for this opportunit­y to be back in Woodward,” says Hise. “My time in Woodward was one of the most enjoyable of my career. I know rural Oklahoma and understand the challenges we face. The prospects for AllianceHe­alth Woodward are great and I’m eager to work with the board, staff and physicians during this time of transition.”

In addition to spending time with his family, Hise values community involvemen­t and has been active in the City Council, Chamber of Commerce, Lions Club and church activities.
