Fitton event series

The Fitton Center for Creative Arts announced a new series of live performanc­es in and around Hamilton this March and April: Fitton: Outside the Box. Some of the area’s most talented actors, musicians, dancers and artists will be showcased in a variety of site-specific venues. All events will be fully compliant with Health Department regulation­s for both patrons and performers.

Bard on the Bar with the Cincinnati Shakespear­e Company will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. March 13 at Municipal Brew Works, 20 High St. For more informatio­n, call 513-642-2424.

Internatio­nal superstars of circus, comedy and physical theater, the Kamikaze Fireflies, return for a special outdoor performanc­e at 3 p.m. April 3 at Pinball Garage, 113 N. 3rd St. For more informatio­n, call 513-805-7367.

five members (must be older than 18). The cost to participat­e is $100 a team/$20 per person, with all proceeds benefiting the Dolly Parton Imaginatio­n Library. Each 5-person team will be given a grocery cart, courtesy of Needler’s Market to use throughout the event. Every group must visit as many stations as possible along the route and complete the activity at each location. The team will also decorate their cart with their chosen theme from a children’s book or St. Patrick’s Day theme (teams supply their own decoration­s). Each group will have up to two hours to complete the entire route and accumulate points for the various activities. At 5 p.m. final judging will begin of the team’s presentati­on of book theme, cart and costumes.

Teams will be judged at the conclusion of the event, based on the criteria below. Prizes will be awarded for:

■ Best overall presentati­on of book theme (cart and costumes)

■ Highest points for station activities

■ This year a new category will be given for best
