Party of Note

-

The Butler Philharmonic Guild announces the annual Party of Note will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Dec. 4. This year’s open house will be held at the home of Tom and Vera Koehler, 6235 Coach House Way, Liberty Twp. The event features fine hors d’oeuvres, wines, beer, and soft drinks. There will be music provided by the SilverWinds Trio. This group

consists of principal chair players in the Butler Philharmonic, Paula Aronoff, bassoon, Jackie Bender, flute, and Peggy Grant, oboe.

This yearly event, now over 20 years old, offers a chance to visit one of Butler County’s most beautiful homes. The Koehler home was featured in the 2013 Homerama event in Liberty Twp., and will be decorated for the holidays.

The Party of Note is free to guests but it is a fundraiser. Guests can register and make a contribution online at www.ButlerPhil.org or mail a check to the Butler Philharmonic at 1 High St., Hamilton, OH 45011. Attendees can also contribute at the event itself.

The funds collected go to support all the operations of the 70-year old orchestra, its 80-voice chorus, and the Butler Philharmonic Youth Symphony. The Symphony Guild asks that guests RSVP by Saturday, either online or by calling 513-895-5151.

The Butler Philharmonic Orchestra and Chorus will perform the Holiday Pops concert at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 11, at Parrish Auditorium, Miami University-Hamilton. The concert will feature the guest vocalist, Kelly MacKenzie-Thurley.

Tickets for the holiday concert are available for purchase online at www.ButlerPhil.org.
