The West Chester–Liberty Chamber Alliance has announced that 10 women were honored as “Women of Excellence” at its Awards Dinner & Gala on Nov. 19.

Since 2000, the West Chester-Liberty Chamber Alliance has recognized over 150 extraordin­ary women who have made a positive difference in communitie­s while inspiring others. The class of 2021 honorees were selected based on their contributi­ons to business, education, culture, or philanthro­py in service to the region.

The 2021 Women of Excellence are Arin Bonk, Stephanie Buckner, Kelley Casper, Sue Cheney, Jeanne Feldkamp, Elizabeth M. Gilbert, Michelle Moody, Nancy Nix, Ginny Rogers and Wendy L. Waters-Connell.

A 19th Century Holiday Guided Tour will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 1-4, and Dec. 8-10. A 19th Century Holiday Guided Tour will take a small group through the Village where they will go inside eight historic buildings and learn how Christmas celebratio­ns evolved over the course of the 19th century in Southweste­rn Ohio. See glimpses of the earliest Christmase­s of Cincinnati, the impact of the Civil War on celebratio­ns, and the new traditions introduced by Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. Watch G-scale model trains chug through our historic train station. Tours will leave every hour. Face masks are required inside buildings for everyone ages 6 and older. Admission is $7 per adult and $3.50 per child ages 5 to 11. Museum member admission is $5 per adult and $2.50 per child ages 5 to 11. Children ages 4 and under are free. Tickets must be purchased in advance.

Christmas 1900: An Edwardian Christmas will be held at 7 p.m. on Dec. 1.

Cheri Brinkman will present a holiday program that will look back through time at what Christmas was like at the turn of the last century in England. The traditions started by Queen Victoria affected how Christmas was celebrated for years to come. The new and the old customs came together at the beginning of the 20th century, some traditions lingering on many years and others disappeari­ng forever after the Edwardian Age. Learn how Christmas was celebrated during the early Downton Abbey years. Admission is $7 for non-members and $5 for members. Seating is limited. Call to make reservatio­ns.

Each day at 1:30 p.m. there will be a Christmas Dinner historical reenactmen­t of early Cincinnati settlers featuring period correct food and clothing. Admission is $10 per adult and $5 per child ages 5 to 11. Museum members and children ages 4 and under are free.

Enjoy cookies and hot chocolate while watching model trains chug through villages in these large model train displays inside a historic train station and Hayner House. At least 10 trains will be operating including a steam engine that lets off little puffs of smoke, a diesel engine that pulls passenger and freight trains, and a point-to-point auto reversing trolley. A wide variety of train sizes will be on display including O, N, HO, G, and S scale model trains. Admission is $3. Museum members and children ages 4 and under are free.

Heritage Village Museum and Educationa­l Center is located inside Sharon Woods Park, behind the Sharon Centre at 11500 Lebanon Road.
