TV HIGHLIGHTS
Movie: Light in the Piazza, 8 PM on TCM:
Adapted from a novel by Elizabeth Spencer, this sensitive 1962 romantic drama follows Meg Johnson (Olivia de Havilland) and her 26-yearold daughter, Clara (Yvette Mimieux), on summer holiday in Italy. The latter, who is radiantly lovely but mentally challenged, captures the heart of a local lad, Fabrizio (George Hamilton), but the overprotective Meg is reluctant to allow her daughter to wed. Rossano Brazzi and Barry Sullivan also star in the film, which airs tonight as part of a memorial tribute to Mimieux, who died earlier this year.
