- STAFF REPORT

Animal Friends Humane Society is in urgent need of some items to help in the everyday running of the shelter. Recently, the society has had several dogs test positive for Giardia. Giardia is a parasite that can result in symptoms such as diarrhea, vomiting, and weight loss. The staff and volunteers having been working diligently to make sure the dogs who have tested positive are receiving proper treatment and are increasing preventive measures to make sure other pups stay healthy.

A huge part of managing the spread of a parasite like Giardia is to make sure proper cleaning procedures are in place. Therefore, the society would greatly appreciate assistance in restocking and replacing several of the cleaning items. The society needs scrub brushes, squeegees, mop heads, pooper scoopers, spray bottles for cleaning on the go around the shelter, paper towels, bleach, and red and yellow/black duct tape that can assist staff in marking certain cleaning products to be used for selected kennels to avoid cross-contamination.

The Wishlist items can purchased directly through the provided links or purchased locally and dropped off anytime during our open hours.
