“I MIXED IN LITTLE THINGS I PICKED UP OVER THE YEARS TO GIVE THE ROOMS SOME ECLECTIC FLAIR.”

- — CELESTE FIERRO

a nearby four-bedroom shingle-style house last year, Fierro followed through— and knew it was the one the moment she laid her eyes on it. “It’s a 6,000-squarefoot house on three acres with four bedrooms, a fully finished basement, and a large open kitchen that flows out to the deck, patios, and the heated pool in the back with multiple seating areas that are great for entertaining.”

With other homes in New York City, Los Angeles, and New Orleans, Fierro is constantly on the move. So her place in the Hamptons is something of a respite for her and her family whenever they come for a stay out East. “This is where I unwind,” Fierro says. “There’s a reserve behind the house that’s very quiet and peaceful.” As such, she kept the interiors clean, simple, and easy to maintain with classic furnishings and an uncomplicated neutral palette, a counterpoint to her busy life. “I picked out all of the new furnishings myself from places like Restoration Hardware or Montauk Furniture,” she says of her approach to the décor. “But I also mixed in antiques and little things I picked up over the years to give the rooms some eclectic flair.” Among the older treasures is a massive mirror she discovered in an antiques shop on St. Charles Avenue in New Orleans and a wonderful chandelier, both of which now adorn the foyer.

The clean interiors also allow parties to fluidly move indoors and out. “We have a lot of people flowing in and out of the house,” she notes. So much of the décor revolves around the multiple serving areas and seating groups around the patios and kitchen, which she ultimately reconfigured and opened further, giving guests as many options for relaxing, eating, and imbibing as they would find in any of her restaurants.

The private spaces on the upper level, however, are all about serenity. The spare master bedroom overlooks the quiet grounds, while the sunken tub in the Zen-like master bath is surrounded with candles and little Buddha statues. “It creates a very nice calming, spiritual balance to the rest of my life, which can be filled with so much chaos,” says Fierro. “It’s like a spa.” It’s also just what a party girl extraordinaire needs to start and end her day.
