ELIE TAHARI’S NEW CANINE COLLAB IS MAKING MAN’S BEST FRIEND BEG FOR MORE. BY JULIE EARLE LEVINE

Elie Tahari’s new canine collab is making man’s best friend beg for more.

Elie Tahari has partnered with Canine Styles, the New York-based luxury dog emporium, for a pop-up shop at his East Hampton boutique for summer. Four-legged fashion lovers are flocking to the store on Main Street, where spring/ summer collections for pooches coordinate with the colors of the Spring 2017 Eli Tahari collection. Think pinks, purples, and blues, and there will be neutrals, along with darker colors in the fall.

“We’ve always welcomed dogs into our East Hampton store, but lately I’ve become a big dog person,” says Tahari, who adopted a Pomeranian and a Shih Tzu this year. “I thought Canine Styles was so unique and fresh that it would be fun to create a pop-up inside our East Hampton store.”

With staples like cashmere sweaters, rain slickers, collars, leashes, and harnesses, it’s no wonder Canine Styles’ celebrity clientele includes Hugh Jackman, Susan Sarandon, Valentino, and Carolina Herrera. There are also East Hampton dog bowls, raincoats, collars, tennis “dresses,” and polos, as well as quilted jackets and puffer coats, for when the temperatures dip.

Mark Drendel, who has owned Canine Styles for 28 years, says, “So many of our longtime clients are out East during summer, and opening a pop-up inside the most beautiful store in East Hampton seemed like a natural.” 1 Main St., East Hampton, 631-3240919; elietahari.com
