With Olde Towne, John Kean has created an exclusive enclave in Southampton Village designed to stand the test of time.

It’s not that John Kean wasn’t on the map before Olde Towne in Southampton Village made its mark. With three decades of experience designing and building hundreds of residences and dozens of projects, Kean already had a solid reputation as a designer, builder, and developer. But Olde Towne, a sprawling 43-acre parcel with four luxurious spec homes, might just be his legacy.

“Olde Towne is the amalgam of the best custom details and superior systems Kean [Development] does,” says Kean. “My con- stant challenge is creating and leaving a legacy of timeless structures that are safe, functional, and undeniably beautiful. My greatest hope is that Olde Towne will stand the test of time.”

Located within walking distance of the ocean and the town, the development is centered on a luscious green, with shingled exteriors that reflect the historic quality of Southampton. “With its mature, heavily treed landscape, it was important to give Olde Towne a sense of grandeur, stability, and, of course, beauty,” Kean says.

But the interiors have a fresh, modern appeal that fuses artistic, technological, historical, and environmental sensibilities. “Having designed and built numerous custom residences in the Hamptons over the years, I knew what we would have to do on a grander level,” says Kean. “Challenges are my forte, but Olde Towne is truly a unique proposition. Each home has been designed and built as an individual endeavor—but in keeping with the community as a whole.” 5 Main St., Cold Spring Harbor, 631-367-9696; keandevelopment.com
