“GARMENTING: COSTUME AS CONTEMPORARY ART”

New York’s Museum of Arts and Design will showcase the work of 35 international artists who use clothing as a sculptural medium in a survey opening March 12. Highlighting themes of gender, performance, and identity, the exhibition will include a Zoë Buckman installation fashioned from vintage lingerie and a pair of Nick Cave’s wearable Soundsuits (right).
