“LOVE BRINGS LOVE”

Designer Alber Elbaz always dreamed of reviving the French postwar tradition of théâtre de la mode, a group showcase of contemporary fashion open to the public. After the AZ Factory founder and former Lanvin creative director passed away last year from Covid-19, 46 international houses and designers came together to put on a fashion show inspired by the joy he brought to his work. The looks—like a hot-pink ruffled Valentino gown and a Dries Van Noten coat featuring Elbaz’s smiling self-portrait— will be on view at Paris’s Palais Galliera beginning March 5.
