Curator and writer Ludwig explores the colorful world of Italian multimedia artist Paola Pivi. Best known for her Instagrammable installations of life-size, brightly hued, feathered polar bears, Pivi incorporates sculpture, video, photography, and performance into her practice. April is a big month for Pivi: She has a solo show opening at the Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh on April 22 and will unveil a 16-foottall replica of the Statue of Liberty with an emoji face at New York’s High Line.
