“NICK CAVE: FOR OTHER MORE”

Visual and performance artist Cave’s first retrospective, opening at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago on May 14, surveys his boundary-breaking works, from his signature wearable Soundsuit sculptures—originally created as a response to the 1991 LAPD beating of Rodney King—to more recent bronze casts of his arm holding flowers (left), honoring Black lives lost to gun violence.
