Houston Rolls Past No. 21 USF

King Totals 7 TDs For Cougars

D'Eriq King had a hand in a career-high seven touchdowns, throwing for 419 yards and five scores and running for 134 yards and two touchdowns in Houston's 57-36 victory over No. 21 South Florida on Saturday in Houston.

King threw touchdown passes of 15, 38, 30, 52 and 27 yards and had scoring runs of 47 and 36 yards. He finished 28 of 41 passing. The seven total touchdowns set a career high.

Marquez Stevenson caught six passes for 106 yards and two touchdowns, Jeremy Singleton had five receptions for 125 yards and a touchdown and Courtney Lark caught four passes for 85 yards before exiting early in the fourth quarter with an injury. Houston (7-1, 4-0 AAC) won its fifth straight, totaling a season-high 684 yards of offense.

Johnny Ford rushed for 106 yards and two touchdowns, and Jordan Cronkrite rushed for 73 yards and a touchdown to lead USF (7-1, 3-1), which saw its eight-game winning streak snapped. Blake Barnett finished 26 of 39 for 263 yards and a touchdown.

After a safety on King for intentiona­l grounding in the end zone, USF cut the lead to 28-26 on a 23-yard field goal by Coby Weiss with 10:47 remaining in the third quarter, but the Bulls would not get any closer.

Notre Dame 44, Navy 22: Ian Book threw for 330 yards and two touchdowns, Dexter Williams ran for 142 yards and three scores and No. 3 Notre Dame overwhelme­d Navy 44-22 in San Diego to remain undefeated and in the playoff picture.

JaFar Armstrong added a rushing touchdown for the Fighting Irish. They are 8-0 for the first time since 2012, when they remained undefeated until being routed by Alabama in the BCS national title game.

Notre Dame had 584 yards of total offense as it extended its dominance in the oldest continual intersecti­onal rivalry to 78-13-1.

Navy (2-6) lost its fifth straight.

Tulane 24, Tulsa 17: Justin McMillan scored the go-ahead TD on a 39-yard keeper with 3:46 left as Tulane won in Tulsa, Okla.

The Green Wave (3-5, 2-2) held Tulsa short on a fourth-and-18 with 1:23 to go and were able to run out the clock from there.

Tulane trailed by 10 in the middle of the third quarter when Corey Dauphine's 51yard run set up McMillian's 1-yard TD keeper three plays later. Dauphine finished with 107 yards rushing on 18 carries.

On their next possession, the Green Wave ran 10 plays for 52 yards capped by Merek Glover's 20-yard field goal to tie it at 17.

Cincinnati 26, SMU 20 (OT): James Wiggins returned an intercepti­on 86 yards for a TD in overtime, as Cincinnati won in Dallas.

SMU's Ben Hicks threw over the middle early in overtime, and Wiggins stepped in front of the intended receiver for the intercepti­on, then ran 86 yards untouched for the winning score.

Cincinnati trailed 20-17 when Cole Smith booted a 41-yard field goal as regulation expired, forcing OT.

Desmond Ridder had 352 yards and two TDs passing for Cincy (7-1, 3-1). Khalil Lewis caught both scores and had 174 yards receiving.
