Tuck enjoying Sun’s run through playoffs

-

Morgan Tuck: It’s actually really cool. Obviously you want to win, but the best part is when you get to do it with people who are actually your friends. I think that’s a thing you don’t get a lot in the pro game, a full roster where everybody gets along and likes spending time together, so to be able to do that with people that will be lifelong friends, I think that’s the best part.

What have been some of your favorite memories with the team?

MT: Me and Bri[onna] Jones, every city we’re in, no matter where, we find a Nordstrom Rack and that’s our thing. Because we both have big feet, and Nordstrom Rack has big shoes. And as a team, we all live in the same building so we’ll all just hang out in someone’s apartment. It gives you that college feel when you all live together.

What stood out to you about Game 1 vs. LA.?

MT: We came out a little hyped up, but we had our runs, they had their runs, we had lulls in the game — but we always came back and played really hard. Even us on the bench that don’t play as much, we stayed in it, we stayed cheering and trying to give the people that were out there all the energy possible. Everyone on the team really made an impact.

Does your experience winning championships at UConn translate to the next level?

MT: I think anytime you have playoff or championship experience it helps because you know it’s a bigger deal, it’s a little more stressful, it’s more important. You think about a little more, you worry about it a little more, but when you’ve been there, you realize you have to treat it like a normal game. So I think when you’ve been there you just have a little comfort in the fact that I know how to handle it.
