Brzezinski, Anna (Siwik)

-

Anna Brzezinski, 91, of Lakeland FL, formerly of Forestville CT, passed away peacefully at home on December 19, 2020 surrounded and comforted by family and friends. Anna was born in New Britain, CT to the late Alexander and Anna (Turski) Siwik on May 9, 1929. She married Charles Brzezinski January 24, 1945 during the blizzard, which she frequently mentioned. Anna and Charles moved their young family from Southington to Forestville, where they would raise their six children.

They were long-time members of St Matthew Church and the St Joseph Polish Society of Forestville, where they had many friends and participated in the many activities there. Anna was a home-maker, which allowed time to be a den-mother for Cub-Scouts, and later a member and speaker at local Alzheimers Support Groups. She would visit her husband Charles every day while he was in a local nursing home.

Anna was a fan of UCONN women’s basketball and found great enjoyment taking bus trips to the casino with friends and family. After Chuck passed away, she moved to Deerfield Beach FL and made many new friends with whom she travelled on cruises, bus trips, and other activities. She loved her many cats (especially Porkie), Bingo, slot machines, sewing and long discussions of politics and world affairs.

Anna will be cherished in the memories of her children: Charles (Jane) of Bristol, Michael (Karen) of Lakeland FL, Charlene (Paul) Bugnacki of Lakeland FL, Ann Fioravanti of Lakeland FL, Peter (Jeanne) of Raleigh NC. She was pre-deceased by her husband Chuck, youngest son Mark (Elaine), as well as sisters Vicky, Sophie, Monica, and her brothers Walter, Chester, and Joseph. Anna leaves behind her younger brother Bruno (Betty) Siwik of Southington (with whom they spent many a Saturday night playing cards), and her eight loving grandchildren who all spent great times with ‘Babci’; Kristy, Kevin, Mike, Shelby, Amber-Leigh, Libby, Tyler, and Sophia, and great-grandchildren Maddie, Ivan, Tanek, Hailey, Mark, Bri-Lynn, and Damon. She also leaves a large extended family of cousins, nieces, nephews and neighbors, who all considered Babci like a loving, second Mom.

A Mass for Anna will be held at St Matthew Church, Forestville on May 29, 2021 at 10 AM with burial following at St Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. Family and friends will meet after for a celebration of her life.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations in Anna’s name to the SPCA, Lakeland, FL, website. https:// secure.qgiv.com/for/sfgd
