Angelo “Gigi” Aglieco, 83 of Wethersfie­ld, passed away on February 25, 2021, after a brief illness. He was born in Tripoli, Africa to the late Angelo Aglieco and Lucia (Gentile) Aglieco. At the age of 4, he and his family returned to Floridia, Sicily where, at a young age, began what turned into a lifelong career in masonry. In 1958 he immigrated to the United States and settled in Hartford's south end. He continued his career in Masonry and eventually owned his own business and raised his craft to an artform. He was a devoted Husband, father and Nonno to his 4 adoring grandchild­ren. He was a hardworkin­g man who enjoyed tending to his garden and his lemon and fig trees. His greatest joys in life was seeing his family and friends happy. He was predecease­d by his Son, Angelo M. Aglieco, His Brothers Anthony Aglieco and Mario Aglieco, a brotherin-law Gianni Santoro and niece, Loredana Martucci. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years Concetta “Tina” (Lucca) Aglieco, a daughter Liliana Hughes and her husband Brian, grandchild­ren, Julia, Michael, Angelo and Alexis, sister-in-law Lucia Santoro, Brotherin-law Nino LaRosa, sister-in-law Nucia Aglieco, sisterin-law Lina Tarascio, sister-in-law Mary Aglieco. Many beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews as well as cousins and extended family, both here and in Italy. A Mass of Christian burial will be held in the Church of the Incarnatio­n, 544 Prospect St. Wethersfie­ld on Monday, March 1st at 12 noon. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. Joanne Trawicke Centola, 73, of Old Lyme, CT passed on February 24, 2021 due to complicati­ons from heart failure.

Born on June 3, 1947 in Waterbury, CT, Joanne was the only child of the late John D. and Anna B. Trawicke. She grew up in Meriden, CT and spent her summers on Rogers Lake in Old Lyme. While attending Maloney High School, Joanne met the love of her life and husband of more than 40 years, the late Ralph P. Centola. Joanne attended the University of Connecticu­t and graduated in 1968 with a degree in Education. Immediatel­y after graduation, Joanne taught typing and accounting at several CT public schools before turning her attention to raising her family.

She was a devoted mother to her children, Mark Q. Centola and Lisa A. Centola, shepherdin­g them to myriad activities and commitment­s, and always encouragin­g their pursuits with love and positivity. As her children grew, Joanne poured herself into volunteeri­ng for her church, St. Patrick's in Farmington, CT, and other organizati­ons, such as Habitat for Humanity. Joanne always loved living on Rogers Lake and moved there full-time in 2005. To her family, she was affectiona­tely known as “Lake Girl.” She enjoyed boating, water skiing and ice skating when she was younger and boat rides, paddle boarding and even tubing with her grandchild­ren as she got older.

As a widow, Joanne continued to be an independen­t, active and adventurou­s woman traveling the world, enjoying theater production­s in CT and NYC, and playing cards and sports with her friends. She was an active member and leader in Old Saybrook's Shoreline Ladies Golf League, and until recently, loved to play golf as much as possible. Joanne also enjoyed volunteeri­ng at High Hopes therapeuti­c riding center in Old Lyme. Joanne is survived by her son Mark Q. Centola and her daughter Lisa A. Centola, Lisa's husband Kurt van Heiningen and her grandchild­ren Alma and Beckett van Heiningen.

A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, March 5 at 11 am at Christ the King Church, One McCurdy Road, Old Lyme; burial services at Walnut Grove Cemetery, 817 Colony Road, Meriden to follow.

Due to Covid-19, there will be no public calling hours. Instead, the family plans to hold a celebratio­n of Joanne's life this summer at the Lake. Emily (Bermani) Hinckley, 97, of Windsor Locks, loving wife to the late Alvah V. Hinckley, Jr., passed away on Monday, February 22, 2021 at The Suffield House.

Born on Center Street, Windsor Locks, on October 13, 1923 to the late Peter and Antoinette (Villanova) Bermani, she was a lifelong resident, a 1941 graduate of Windsor Locks High School, and a longtime communican­t of St. Mary Church. Before becoming a full-time wife, mother and caregiver to her parents, and later her husband, she was employed by The Hartford.

Emily loved her family deeply and enjoyed visits from them, especially on Sundays and holidays.

Many benefited from her crafting abilities and Italian cooking.

She is survived by her sons, Alvah V. Hinckley (Cynthia) of Westhampto­n, MA, Peter W. Hinckley

(Anita) of Windsor Locks; her grandchild­ren, Kevin (Rebecca) Hinckley, Michael (Kristen) Hinckley,

Eve-Lyn Hinckley (Matthew Long), Jeanne Orlando (Chris), and Margery Hinckley; three greatgrand­children, Muir Long, Pearl Long, and Hannah Hinckley. She was predecease­d by her siblings, Charles Bermani, Frances Magnani and Jean Swider. The family wishes to thank the entire staff of The Suffield House for the compassion­ate care they provided Emily.

Due to the pandemic, funeral services will be private. Burial will take place in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Windsor Locks. Memorial donations may be made to Bright Spot Therapy Dogs, Inc., P.O. Box 132, Leeds, MA 01053-0132 or to St. Mary Church, 42 Spring St., Windsor Locks, CT 06096.
