Robert Richard Dube of Simsbury, Connecticu­t passed away in the comfort of his home on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at the age of 87. Bob was predecease­d by his older sister Eleanor Dube Kachadoori­an. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Judy Dube, his daughters Michelle Dube and Lesley Dube Fronio, son-in-law Jason Fronio, granddaugh­ter Samantha Fronio, grandson Zachary Fronio, and several nieces and nephews.

Bob and Eleanor were raised in Worcester, Massachuse­tts by Armand Dube and Hilda Erickson Dube. Bob was a UCONN Husky, playing on both basketball and baseball teams, and he remained a loyal fan throughout the rest of his life. He graduated in 1956, after which he served in the United States Army. Upon his discharge, Bob returned to the Hartford area, where he balanced his time between family, career, and his many friends who shared his love of playing sports, including basketball, golf, and tennis.

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, March 4th, at St. Mary's Church, 942 Hopmeadow Street in Simsbury. Burial will follow in Simsbury Cemetery. Vera Loretta (Charook) Hartford, 91, of Canton, the beloved wife of Earl for 65 years passed away on February 25, 2021 after a long hard battle with Wegener’s Granulomat­osis. Vera was born to John and Mary Charook who immigrated from Russia. She was the youngest of six. Vera was an incredible cook, avid reader, bird watcher, expert gardener. She loved spending time with her family, attending UCONN Women’s basketball games, Bushnell Broadway Series, traveling to Europe and Florida and attending her Grandchild­ren’s events. In addition to her husband Earl, she is survived by her children Debbie Palladino, Linda Fournier (Mike), Cheryl Glasgow (Sean), Roger Hartford (Corrine), her grandchild­ren Rachel and Olivia Fournier, Trevor, Shealagh and Mitch Glasgow and her many nieces, nephews and grandniece­s & nephews.

Her family would like to thank her UCONN Doctors: Dr. Trivedi, Dr. Mandhadi, Dr. Kanaan & Dr. Waddington for their dedication in helping Vera the last seven years. We would also like to thank Angela Deveraux, our angel for taking great care of Vera, and Farmington Valley Hospice.

Vera’s family will receive friends during a walk through visitation on Monday, March 1st from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Services will be private.
