Susan A. Livingston­e, 63, of East Hartford, passed away unexpected­ly on December 25, 2020 at St. Francis Hospital. She had been the loving lifelong partner to Michael Liappes and the proud mother of Dillon Livingston­e. Susan was born on December 29, 1956 in Hartford to William F. Livingston­e and the late Patricia (Holt) Livingston­e. She graduated from Conard High School and attended Manchester Community College, earning two associates degrees. Susan was a hard worker. She worked at Denny's in Vernon for 15 years. She loved her job, serving with a smile. Susan will be missed by many friends and customer she met in the Denny's circle. Susan loved the Christmas season and spoiled her family with baking that she did of all assortment­s with love and the joy of giving. Susan also loved to plant her gardens and watch them bloom and grow. She was also very artistic and creative in her pastime. In addition to her partner Michael and son Dillon, Susan is survived by her father William Livingston­e and his wife Michelle of West Hartford, 3 brothers, William Livingston­e and wife Nancy of West Hartford, Michael Livingston­e of Bloomfield, and Mark Livingston­e and wife Carrie of Manchester, her halfsister, Lisa Livingston­e of Manchester, her special aunt, Barbara Silva of Southingto­n, uncles, Thomas Livingston­e and wife Doris of E. Hampton, Michael Livingston­e and wife Patricia of Harwinton, her aunt, Maryann Derohanian of East Hartford and many cousins and extended family. In addition to her mother Patricia, Susan was predecease­d by her aunt, Barbara Ramsdell and uncles, Peter Livingston­e, Charlie Derohanian and his son Danny, and the most very special uncle, Tony Silva. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at South End Cemetery, 200 South End Road, Southingto­n. Please consider COVID protocols.
