Milner, Nyasia J-Lynn
Nyasia J. Milner, 18, of New Britain, beloved daughter of Michael and Bessye Milner, passed away unexpectedly at home on Thursday, April 14, 2021, from a long battle with heart disease. She was born on December 8, 2002, in Hartford, CT, and was a senior at Gems High School in Bloomfield, CT. Nyasia had a passion for cosmetology and nails. She was funny; she loved nature, her dog Roxy, and her boyfriend Dante, and most of all, spending time with her family. She was a cheerleader for the Hartford Hurricanes and a proud member of the Hartford Police Explorer's program. Her brother Michael Jr. (MJ) was not only her best friend; he was also near and dear to her heart. Nyasia leaves behind her parents, Michael and Bessye, and brother MJ of New Britain, CT.; maternal grandparents, Josephine Martinez & Carlos Rodriguez of Hartford; maternal great-grandparents Gloria Ramos & Sergio Correa of Hartford; paternal grandparents James D. Williams Jr. & Melissa Wright of Windsor; special great-grandfather, Joseph W. Bumpers Jr. of Hartford; paternal great-grandmother Valerie Williams of Hartford, grandfather Bobby Perry; a special great-grandmother, Earnestine Williams of Hartford; four aunts, Star Milner of East Hartford; Melissa Williams of Bloomfield, Jaimee Williams of Bloomfield and Sharanika Perry of Hartford; two uncles, Bobby Perry Jr. of Hartford, and James D. Williams III of Manchester; eight aunts, two uncles, many cousins, and a host of other relatives and friends. She is predeceased by her paternal grandmother, Lyndora Milner, and her great-grandfather, James D. Williams Sr. Nyasia's funeral services will be held on Monday, April 26, at 10:00 am at Latter Rain Christian Fellowship, 3200 Main Street Hartford, CT., followed by the burial at Cedar Hill Cemetery, 453 Fairfield Avenue, Hartford, CT., and the Repass at The Lincoln Room, 365 John Downey Drive, New Britain, CT. Nyasia's favorite colors were pink and white, and she would be happy if family and friends wore the colors.
