Filip, Josephine Julianna

-

Josephine Julianna Filip, 60, of Windsor Locks, passed away peacefully at Hartford Hospital on April 22, 2021 after battling a short term illness. With loving gratitude the family would like to thank the staff at the hospital, Touchpoints at Chestnut in East Windsor, and the visiting nurses who thoughtfully cared for her wellbeing. Originally born in Germany, she moved to Windsor Locks with her family at a very young age and was a lifetime resident of the community. She loved animals, reading, going to music concerts, and especially enjoyed spending time with her niece and nephews whom she adored. Josephine was a very gratuitous person who always thought of others, and she enjoyed giving cards and presents for every holiday, birthday, and special occasion.

She is survived by her father, Edwin Filip of Windsor Locks, a brother, Paul J. Filip (Donna) of Windsor Locks, two sisters, Deane (Gilbert) Filip-Picard of Windsor Locks, Esther (David) Wargat of Colchester, nephews, Sean and Paul Filip, Justin Wargat, and a niece Caitlin Wargat. Josephine was predeceased by her mother, Julianna (Princz) Filip, her brother, Joseph P. Filip, and a nephew PFC Joseph C. Filip USMC.
