Joan Elizabeth (Schwaller) Kalosky passed away on April 12, 2021, in Rolesville, NC, after a long battle with Alzheimer's and debilitati­ng arthritis. She was born Sept 3, 1930, the daughter of Helen and Lawrence Schwaller of Watertown, CT. Lawrence died in 1931, and Helen then married George Bousquet of Oakville, CT. She was predecease­d by her husband Harold “Buddy” Kalosky in August 2015. They had been married 66 years and loved their family above all. She leaves behind 4 children, Gary (Sandra) Kalosky, Robert Kalosky, Patricia (William) Snyder and Melissa (Rick) McCourt. She also leaves behind 5 grandchild­ren: Nicholas (Beth) Kalosky, Philip Kalosky, Zachary McCourt, Ryan McCourt and Sarah McCourt and 2 great grandchild­ren, Isabella and Lucas Kalosky. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, but was especially close to Rita and Jim Gagnon of Southingto­n, CT.

Joan and Buddy lived for 56 years in Southingto­n, CT, before moving to Lithia, FL, and Rolesville, NC, to be cared for in their twilight years by their daughter Melissa and her family. Family was the most important thing to them and they also enjoyed vacationin­g in the Outer Banks, Fort Myers, FL and Disney World. Everyone in the family already misses her cookies which she was well known for especially at Christmas time. RIP Mom.
