Richard Hamilton Gorsline, named after his paternal grandfather, passed away peacefully at William Backus Hospital on Sunday, April 25, 2021. He was the devoted husband of Suzanne (Richard) Gorsline. Richard was born in Oklahoma, the son of the late Don A. Gorsline and Jane L. Richard was a U. S. Navy veteran from 1967-1973 and served in Vietnam. He was better known as Rick or Ricky and worked as a pressman/printer most of his life starting in high school at the Yankee Flyer in Bloomfield and then ACE Printing in Hartford. After 30+ years he decided that he needed a change and worked at Home Depot for 13 years until his retirement in November 2018.

Rick was passionate about everything he did which included photography, motorcycle club, and his vast collection of movies and shows. He loved animals and had many animals over the years, dog, many cats, and even a parrot, but his biggest passion was his woodworking. He had a gift for turning a branch or chunk of wood into pens, bowls, ornaments , vases, and so much more.

He leaves behind his loving wife Suzanne of 47 ½ years, his devoted siblings, Alan of Missouri, Louise of Hebron, CT and Ron Hunt, sister- in- laws Helene of Killingworth, CT., and Lucille of Arizona, his beloved nieces and nephews Richard, Dawn, Tom, Sharon, Tim, Jason, and 13 great nieces and nephews. His family meant everything to him and he meant everything to us.

A Memorial Service will be held at the convenience of the family.
