Montineri, Michael Salvatore

-

Michael Salvatore Montineri, 64, of Newington, passed away unexpectedly on April 23, 2021 at his home. Michael was born on May 30, 1956 in Hartford and was the son of the late Salvatore and Lorraine (Cerasoli) Montineri. Growing up, Mike's fondest memories were made alongside his father. The years that he spent working at his father's service station taught him invaluable lessons. He would recall those memories often with his children and sister. Growing up, he shared Sunday dinners and summer trips to the beach with his family and extended family members. The memories were always so special and Michael was always fond of those happy times.

Mike retired from the Henry James Memorial Middle School, where he worked for many years as a school custodian. When his children were younger, Michael loved to take them on the weekends to local flea markets and tag sales, always hunting for treasures. He was a great father and family man, being with his children and grandchildren meant the world to him. He could be quickly found playing with his children, nieces and nephews.

He is survived by a son, Michael Montineri of Middletown and his fiancé Melissa Poulin, a daughter Michelle Montineri and her longtime partner Akeen Bryan of West Hartford along with his five grandchildren that were his pride and joy, Tayvion-Vito Bryan, KeynijaSky Bryan, Brayvont Bryan, Savannah Montineri and Salvatore Michael Montineri.
